Measures

Today I was doing measures. I had to watch the dinosaur jump over and write how many meter and cm did it jump. I got every answer right.

Rock on, Ryan!

Today I was reading a book called Rock on, Ryan! It was about Ryan go rock climbing with his 2 friends. It was Ryan first time. While he was climbing, he was scared and nervous. He called out for help. One of his friends came and helped him. Ryan had a good time. His friends told him that they will go again to Rock climbing.

Our Beautiful Soccer Session

WALT write a recount using similes and direct speech

What a lovely and a hot sunny day. Today we had a beautiful soccer session. We all started with a warm up game. After our warm up game, we were splitted into 4 teams. The colours were, red, non blue, blue and yellow. I was in the yellow group. My team was versing the blue team.

When my mate kicked the ball to me, I started running fast like a cheetah and trying to get a score for my team. I felt that when I was running, the wind blowed the whiteness on my face away and then became pink.

After our game I was puffing and my cheeks looked like roses. I was very sweaty. Ben said “stop!!” because our game time was over. Everyone stopped.

 It was a lovely soccer session and I can’t wait for our last soccer session.

Fred's Super Scooter

Today my story on sunshine on-line was about Fred's Super Scooter. It was about Fred. Fred was very old and his leg couldn't work well. He couldn't do anything but just sit. Fred wanted a Super Scooter that could make him go faster but more faster. Fred was happy because the next day he got a Super Scooter that could take him around.

Today I was working on Handling Data on Maths Whizz. I did all the questions. Some of them were a bit hard but I tried my best by working them out. I am proud of myself.

Today I was on sunshine on-line. I was reading the Karaoke Kate. I did all the activity's. I got them all right.

Mental Calculation Strategies - addition

Today I was working on Maths Whizz. This is what I did. I had 10 questions. Some of them were hard. I tried my best and I got the answer right. I am proud of myself.

Perimeter of 2D Shape

Perimeter of a Square = side + side + side + side or 4 x side

Example: The perimeter of a square of side  5cm = 5 + 5 + 5 + 5 = 20 cm or 4 x 5 = 20 cm

Find the perimeter of the following squares:

The perimeter of a square of side  10cm = 40cm    

The perimeter of a square of side  25cm = 100cm

The perimeter of a square of side  5m = 20m

The perimeter of a square of side  50m = 200m

The perimeter of a square of side  1km = 4km

Perimeter of a Rectangle = length + width + length + width or 2 x l + 2 x w

Example: The perimeter of a rectangle whose length is 6cm and width is 4cm = 6 + 4 + 6 + 4 = 20 cm or 2 x 6 + 2 x 4= 12 + 8 = 20 cm

Find the perimeter of the following rectangles whose lengths and widths are given below:

Rectangle 1 - length is 8cm and width is 5cm

Perimeter = 26cm

Rectangle 2 - length is 10cm and width is 7cm

Perimeter = 34cm

Rectangle 3 - length is 8m and width is 6m

Perimeter = 28m

Rectangle 4 - length is 16m and width is 10m

Perimeter = ? 52m

Rectangle 5 - length is 4km and width is 2km

Perimeter = ? 12km

Evaluation: Today I learnt how to find out perimeter of 2D shape.

Soccer Session

This morning we went to our soccer session. At the soccer session we learnt 2 skills. The skills that we learnt was dribbling and scissors. My favourite skill was the scissors. I liked the scissors because it was a side stepping skill and kicking. After learning our two skills, we had a quick game. When it came to the end, none of the team won. I had a great time at the soccer session.  

My Maths Whizz

Today I was on Maths Whizz. I was working on addition. There were 5 question. If I get every 5 question right, I get 30 credits. I got 30 credits. I am proud of myself.

At The Car Wash

Today I was on sunshine on-line. I was reading a book called, At the car wash. I did all the activity's. I did the word train. I had to find the word that has gh in it. I got it all right. I am proud of myself.
