The Best Dance Fever

The best afternoon ever! Today we had our last Dance Fever. We were together with the year 6/7. First we started of with foxtrot. Before we did the foxtrot, Christina and Captain said we will be dancing in front of parents on Tuesday 17th of December. Everyone said “OMG”. It was time to do foxtrot. While we were doing our foxtrot, I felt that there was a sun burning me.

After that we got straight into cha-cha. During cha-cha, Christina had to stop the music because some of us did any moves. We all watch Christina and Captain doing it. It was time to do it again. Christina was so happy to see us do it very well after they showed us.

Next was our hip-hop. Our hip hop was so funny because we had do the dougie. While we are doing the dougie, Captain and Christina had to choose people to go up to the front and dougie and the rest have to judge whose gonna be versing them. Some of us were chosen to go up. After that it was time to judge whose gonna be versing Captain and Christina. The 2 people that got chosen was Siupeli and Brinix. We were all cheered, scream, clapped out loud. Christina said, now its time do our hip-hop.

Finally it was over. We all enjoyed it. We all hope that when we dance in front of our parents, we don’t do any mistake.

Netbook Reflection 2013

This year I have been working with two lovely teachers. The things I have been learning from them is that they share writing templates, reading response and maths work on our sites that we could access on our netbook.
I love using my netbook, because I can research many things and I can finish my work.
I really enjoyed working with my friend, because she had been helping me with my attitude, supporting me and that.
I'm very proud of myself this year, because I have been helping other kids by sorting out problems and getting them to work or play as a team.
Using digital tools is really awesome, because I just love it and it helps a lot.
Having a netbook connected to the internet helps me do a lot of work like, writing a recount, reading stories online and maths on maths sites.

I prefer using a netbook to a pencil and paper, because netbooks are good to finish off work, and to access  things that are online.

Our Last Oreinteering

What a puffing and sweaty morning. Today we had our last orienteering. We had to do two course. While I was running. I felt hot because we had to run up to look for the letters and then run back down to look for the next one.

Finally my first course was finished. I had to do my second course. I decide to work with my best friend (Tame’e) on the second course. While Tame’e and I were running, our legs felt tired because of running.

When we both finished, we had to go back and take our paper and our map to our instructor Irene. Irene told us that its finish. Everyone was so tired and sweaty. We all hope that we will have another orienteering.

Healthy Eating

1. Find a healthy recipe. Tell why you like it, and why you think it is healthy.
Answer: Chicken Salad and Green. I choose this healthy recipe because it is healthy. It is a good salad to eat because it doesn't have any fat or sugary staff in it.

2. Research 2 health problems. Tell what is it and what the causes are.
Answer: Blueberry Pancakes. This is food is not healthy. It is bad to eat because it has a lot of fat and sugary staff in it.
Answer: Berry Tasty Muffins. This is also bad because it also has a lot of fatty ingredients which is not good for your body.

House Sports

Yahoo! Today we had house sports. Our instructor was Mrs Moopanar. The activity we did was shot put. We had to vs the same team, Blue. It was time to start. Blue started of and then us. It was hard to throw the shot put ball because it was heavy like a giant that is massive and huge.

Next it was our turn. It was so funny because there was a lot of jokes from the Blue team because they were saying that we are gonna lose and they are gonna win.  Ilalio, (one of our team mate), was the last one to throw. The Blue team was shocked because his throw was far. Shot put was over. Mrs Moopanar told us that the winning team is Red because Ilalio was first and had the longest throw. Our team stood up and clapped and shouted “YEAH RED WON, YEAH YEAH”.

Finally house sports was over. My team Red was so excited and happy because we won. My team Red can’t wait for the next house sports.

The National Anthem Of New Zealand

English Version

God of nations! at Thy feet
In the bonds of love we meet,
Hear our voices, we entreat,
God defend our Free Land.
Guard Pacific's triple star,
From the shafts of strife and war,
Make her praises heard afar,
God defend New Zealand

Men of every creed and race
Gather here before Thy face,
Asking Thee to bless this place,
God defend our Free Land.
From dissension, envy, hate,
And corruption guard our State,
Make our country good and great,
God defend New Zealand.

Peace, not war, shall be our boast,
But, should foes assail our coast,
Make us then a mighty host,
God defend our Free Land.
Lord of battles in thy might,
Put our enemies to flight,
Let our cause be just and right,
God defend New Zealand.

Let our love for Thee increase,
May Thy blessings never cease,
Give us plenty, give us peace,
God defend our Free Land.
From dishonour and from shame
Guard our country's spotless name
Crown her with immortal fame,
God defend New Zealand.

May our mountains ever be
Freedom's ramparts on the sea,
Make us faithful unto Thee,
God defend our Free Land.
Guide her in the nations' van,
Preaching love and truth to man,
Working out Thy Glorious plan,
God defend New Zealand.

The Most Funniest Dance Fever Ever!

Yahoo its time to complete all our dance fever lesson of! Today my class room 10 had Dance Fever. The first thing we did was that we had to do our cha -cha and then our new dance. It was time to learn our new dance. It was called Fox Trot. The dance was so easy to learn because it didn't have much moves in it.

Christina and Captain showed us the moves of the dance. We had to watch carefully to their foots so we know where to step and that. When they both finished, it was time for us to try it out. It became very funny because some of us did not know where to step and did not know what will be the next move. The funniest part was when Christina and Captain told the boys that in the end they will need to twirl their partner around. Everyone said “HELL NO”.

After that we had to do our hip hop dance. Finally hip hop was over. Everyone was sweaty and  reddish because the hip hop dance. Captain told us that we have to go find a space for themselves. We had to copy Captain because we were doing a funny dance. It was funny because it had actions that some of us haven’t done before. The song that we did was Gangnam Style.

Finally it was over. It was an awesome morning and a laughing morning. Christina said to us, our next lesson we will polish up all our dance to be ready for our Competition.

Yahoo its orienteering today! Today room 10 had orienteering. The first thing we did was we had to sit in class because Leon and Irene our instructor, came and told us how orienteering works and information about it. After that Leon gave us pictures and we had to guess what is the name of the picture.

Next it was time to go out to do orienteering. We were splitted into 2 teams. The other team had their own area and our team had own area. The rules was no cheating and no going backwards. Irene gave us letters to start with. Everyone had different letters. It was time to start. Nearly all my team were puffing because we had to run around and around the circles to find the letters.

After that it was time to swap. We had to go to the other teams area and the other team comes to our area. It was the same rules. The area that we were at was hard because it was hard to find which letter comes next.

Finally it was over. Everyone sat down and puffed. We were all tired from running around at orienteering. Leon told us that our next one will be going around our school and with a map. It was a tiring day.

My Amazing Weekend

Yahoo! What a lovely hot sunny day! During the weekends my family and I drove down to my cousins house in Panmure. We had to go there because we had to help my uncle stack all his staff into a big container to take to Tonga.

We started off stacking in the woods and the ruthing in so everything could fit in. It was funny because one of my uncle fell and one of the wood fell on top of his thighs and he couldn't get up. So we had to help him. Afterwards it was becoming dark so we stop stacking and went home.

It was Sunday. On Sunday we all saw each other. When church finished everyone gathered at Panmure at my cousins house for a big feed. What a delicious food there was! Finally the feed was over. Everyone just talk and talk until it was night time. My family and I hope that we will have another feed.

Our Fantastic Dance Fever

Yeah! Today it was Dance Fever. At Dance Fever we had to finish off our chacha because we only have 4 weeks left before we perform in front of the people. Christina(our instructor) told us that we need to get in to partners. Every single one of us had a partner. The first thing we did was that we had to start our first moves that we learnt and then we will do other new moves.

Next it was time to do some new actions. The moves were holding hands with your partners. Everyone was so freaked out because it was there first time holding hands with a boy as their partners. We had to watch Christina and Captain because they were showing the moves to us. Finally it was time for us to do it. While we were doing our chacha, some of them stopped because they muddle it up. We carried on and on doing our chacha so we could memorize the moves for our next lesson.

After that we had to do our hip hop dance. First we had to do it with Christina and Captain and then we do it while they watch us. Christina and Captain was very proud of us because we all knew it and it was very polished.

Finally Dance Fever was over. Captain told us we will finish of with a game. The game was simon cease. It was kinda hard doing simon cease because Captain gave us hard one and plus we had to dance. The winner was Douglas. We clapped and clapped for him. It was an amazing Dance Fever.

Film Festival

Yahoo! Today the whole school of Glenbrae Primary and Intermediate School were all excited to go to the film festival at Sylvia Park theater. We had to go because it was about Manaiakalani.
Manaiakalani is a trustee that helps us and give us net-book and Chromebook. Net-book and Chromebook is like laptops but they are small.  When we arrived at Sylvia Park, we had to hop off the bus and walk to the theater. While we were walking to go to the theater, it was noisy because there were other school’s there and people.

When we got to the top, we just went straight in. It was peaceful and quiet in the theater. In the theater, there was another school. It was Panmure Bridge School. Finally we all got seated in the seats. The show started. The first speaker was from Panmure Bridge. There school cheered out loud and loud and clapped. The shows were really awesome because they were joking around teachers and others. The next one was us. Everyone screamed out loud in the theater. Our movie was fantastic because it was about our camp to Great Barrier Island. Different other schools had their own speakers.

Finally it was over. Everyone had a fabulous time. When we walked out the theater, there were more schools coming because they were one of the schools that had net-books and Chromebooks. Finally we reached school. It was an amazing time.
